Van Halen - Humans Being
This song was made for and is off of the soundtrack of the 1996 movie Twister. It was the last song recorded by Van Halen before Sammy Hagar left the band, also in 1996. Now there are many people who like to take sides when bands break up. There are those who prefer the David Lee Roth Van Halen to the Sammy Hagar Van Halen, or vice versa. There are also those who think that Roger Waters is Pink Floyd, when others say that David Gilmour is the only Pink Floyd that matters. But I digress. Anyway, this is probably my favourite Van Halen song of all time, probably because it’s a lot darker then their other work. I mean Jump, Panama, and Hot for Teacher all have their time and place, but they’re very uppy and happy and 80’s. This song rocks. And it rocks hard.
